Miki Wick-Kim is a leading expert in contemporary art, with almost 30 years of experience as a gallery owner and director, curator, author, and collection advisor. She earned her BFA with honors from Pratt Institute, New York, and subsequently held positions at Coutts Contemporary Art Foundation (Zurich), Galerie Lelong & Co., and Galerie Edwynn Houk. She collaborated on exhibitions and projects relating to major international artists, including Dan Graham, Marlene Dumas, Ed Ruscha, the Estate of Ana Mendieta, Robert Motherwell, Lee Bul, and Zhu Jinshi.

In 2006, Miki founded Miki Wick-Kim Contemporary Art in Zurich, initially conceived as a gallery dedicated to championing emerging Korean artists and fostering their international recognition. Since 2011, the gallery has evolved into a bespoke art advisory practice, serving institutional and private clients with curatorial and strategic guidance. Her 2012 book, Korean Contemporary Art (Prestel), remains a foundational English-language reference on the subject. Presenting thirty of the most significant artists of the time, it serves as a time stamp of a pivotal moment in Korea’s contemporary art history and reflects Miki’s longstanding commitment to deepening global understanding of Korean visual culture.

Miki’s work is guided by a deep belief in the transformative power of art and its ability to create meaningful connections across cultures and contexts. Whether advising on acquisitions, managing collections, developing exhibitions, or engaging in writing and research, she brings a discerning eye and a wealth of experience honed over decades.
